Most Expensive Car Repairs....

What Are the Most Expensive Car Repairs?

Engine
If your mechanic ever comes back to you and says the words "major engine damage" then you're in big trouble. Those words probably mean that something has damaged the cylinders at the core of the engine. Your mechanic will have to remove the entire engine from the vehicle and your best option is to get a whole new engine rather than repair the old one. Large and powerful engines will be more expensive than smaller ones.
Estimated Cost: $3,000 - $7,000

Hybrid Battery
Hybrid cars are all the rage right now, but many people don't know that there is a massive hidden cost of ownership for this new type of vehicle. Any rechargeable battery slowly loses its ability to hold a charge over time, and hybrid car batteries will likely die before 10 years of use. Replacing this battery usually also means replacing the computer system for the car. The cost varies widely depending on the car.
Estimated Cost: $2,000 - $6,000

Transmission Assembly
The transmission assembly is probably the most complicated piece of machinery in your car. It's an impressive collection of gears and levers that allows your car to shift (now you know why it's called shifting gears). Replacing a transmission is extremely expensive, and it takes many hours of intense labor. Only use a trusted mechanic or a dealer to take care of a major job like this.
Estimated Cost: $2,000 - $4,000

Camshaft and Lifters
Despite looking like a crazy jumble of twisted steel, a combustion engine isn't extremely complicated. The camshaft is a rotating rod that is used to fire the engine's cylinder's in a repeating pattern. The camshaft doesn't directly activate the cylinders, but instead actives the lifters which do that job. These parts are relatively expensive, and replacing them can take up to 12 hours of labor.
Estimated Cost: $2,000 - $2,500

Suspension System
A car's suspension is something that you won't notice at all when it's working correctly. It's what keeps you from feeling every little bump and dip in the road. Unfortunately, it's made up of a lot of different parts. Here are the most important parts of the suspension system:

Shocks
Struts
Springs
Control arms
Tie rods
Usually, only one set of these parts needs to be replaced at a time, but a complete suspension overhaul will get really costly in terms of parts and labor.
Estimated Cost: $1,000 - $2,000

Turbocharger
More and more car manufacturers are making mid and upper-level models with turbos installed stock. Turbochargers are used to force more air and fuel into the engine's cylinders, which results in faster acceleration. If your car has a turbo, your car make a whining noise as you accelerate and a slight hiss when shifting gears. The part alone is very expensive, so replacing it is never cheap.
Estimated Cost: $1,000 -  $1,500

Air Conditioning
Just imagine driving around in the summer without using the air conditioning in your car. Having that nice, cool breeze is crucial for most people, but fixing a broken A/C unit can be very pricey. Just having the system checked and "recharged" will set you back a few hundred dollars, but a serious repair job will cost even more.
Estimated Cost: $800 - $1,200

AirBags
It's really amazing how few people are seriously injured in car accidents, and the main reasons why cars are so safe are the airbags. The only problem with airbags is that they're somewhat fragile. Once they go off, they usually need to be replaced. In addition, the force of airbag deployment can damage surrounding parts, like the steering wheel or the glove box.
Estimated Cost: $500 - $1000 (per airbag)

Catalytic Converter
If you live in an area that requires emissions testing for cars, then you most likely have a catalytic converter. This device is used to convert the harmful chemicals in exhaust fumes into harmless ones. It's a very useful device, but it's also an expensive one. Luckily, the catalytic converter is located between the engine and the muffler, so it should be easy for a mechanic to replace. You can still expect to pay quite a bit for this repair job.
Estimated Cost: $400 - $800

Fuel Injection Pump
When the dreaded check engine light comes on, you get that sinking feeling in your stomach. You're probably about to drop a lot of money on an expensive car repair. If you're lucky, it could be something simple, but you had better hope it's not one of these expensive repairs!
Rounding out the top 10 of most expensive car repairs is a fuel injection pump replacement. This pump is responsible for moving fuel from the tank into the engine, and it's crucial to the operation of the engine. Replacing this part is fairly simple, but the pump is often located in a spot that requires a lot of extra effort to access. The cost will vary depending on your make and model.
Estimated Cost: $400 - $600

What is the LG G2?
The LG G2 is LG’s Android rival to the Samsung Galaxy S4 and HTC One. A phone tasked with reinstating LG as a leading player on the smartphone scene, the phone features an array of high-end innards. It has a 13-megapixel camera, a 2.26GHz quad-core CPU and an impressively large 3,000mAh battery.
 13-megapixel camera
Continuing the trend of ever-growing screen sizes, the LG G2 pairs a 5.2-inch Full HD display with a dramatically reduced bezel. This combination maximises the amount of on-screen real estate while keeping the phone’s overall footprint small. The phone is available in both black and white, and the LG G2 will set you back around £400 SIM-free.

Has the LG G2 done enough to truly bring the fight to the iPhone 5S and Galaxy S4? Read on to find out.

LG G2 - Design
Aesthetically the LG G2 is a pretty hit and miss affair. It features an easy on the eye design, although the overall appeal of the phone is let down by plastic build and the baffling decision to place all physical controls on its rear. While it might look like a standard candy bar at first glance, the rear controls really separate it from the Android masses, for better or for worse.

The LG G2’s design has been built around keeping the phone as small as possible, while incorporating an expansive display. The reduced bezel, down to just 2.65mm - half that of its leading rivals - helps accentuate the phone’s already oversized 5.2-inch screen. To gain these edge-to-edge benefits, however, LG has had to move the G2's on-body buttons.

The LG G2 relocates all physical controls to the phone’s rear, with the volume rocker and power/lock buttons now sat directly beneath the camera lens. It's awkward and confusing at first, and the LG G2 button placement failed to click with us after more than a week’s use. Although it does not feel obtrusive or at risk of accidental presses when holding the phone, it remains fiddly and unnatural.

Ultimately, reaching to the rear of the phone to lock the screen feels far more awkward than simply tapping a top or side-mounted control. The unusual button placement is not all doom and gloom, however. When changing in-call volume, the rear mounted volume rocker is a joy. Realistically though, this will be an infrequent silver lining. And button contouring does little to improve ease of use.

Like the Samsung Galaxy S4, the LG G2 is let down by a plastic body that feels flimsy in parts. As well not fitting well with the premium price tag, the plastic body features a very noticeable weak spot. Located on the right-hand side of the LG G2’s rear, there is a small area than bends and creeks when subjected to light pressure. What’s more, the gloss finish on the plastic body is a magnet for fingerprints and grime, further causing the G2 to look considerably cheaper than its lofty price would suggest.

The rear-mounted buttons don’t really add any unwanted bulk to the phone but, at 8.9mm thick, the G2 is far from the most svelte flagship offering. It's a full millimetre thicker than either the iPhone 5S or Galaxy S4, and the LG G2 is also more than 30g weightier than Apple’s latest phone. Despite this, the G2 never feels bulky or uncomfortable in the hand, with a slight curvature to the phone’s rear giving it an ergonomic fit.

LG G2 - Screen Quality
Having lost points on design, the LG G2’s screen is something of a show stealer, wowing us from the off. The 5.2-inch Full HD IPS display features stunningly sharp 423 pixels per inch density.

The streamlined bezel of the G2 further enhances the impressive IPS panel, giving the display added pop and helping to set the handset out from the crowd. Although the phone’s footprint is no bigger than that of the S4, the G2 has a screen 0.2 inches bigger, and this makes a noticeable difference.

The reduced bezel and HD screen turn the LG G2 into a one of a kind device, but we expect to see a number of rival manufacturers follow suit in the near future.

The benefits of the LG G2’s screen are not all about the slimline bezel though. The IPS panel might not be as bright as some AMOLED display hosting rivals, but the colours are truer and less over-exaggerated. The LG G2 screen produces colours that are accurate and do not suffer from the familiar oversaturation issues of some rivals. The screen’s touch panel is responsive, with no undue lag or hesitation meeting any of the gesture commands we threw at it.

A complete package, the 423ppi image density means even the finest of details are pin-sharp and text never appears smudged or soft at the edges. The screen is capable of tackling pages of text and vibrant, detailed HD images with equal aplomb and continues to impress long after it has first grabbed your attention.

Unfortunately, the LG G2 screen quality is not without the odd blemish. The display is a little on the reflective side, with outdoor conditions producing an unwanted amount of glare. Only a slight issue, this problem is far from the same performance depleting leagues of the Huawei Ascend G510.

The LG G2's screen quality is so good that we can almost forgive the necessary button placement move fitting in such a large, edge-to-edge display has necessitiated.

Lamborghini Veneno: the World’s Most Expensive Car

Lamborghini Veneno: the World’s Most Expensive Car

Back in March Lamborghini debuted some renderings of their Veneno supercar. Now just after a few months they have officially unveiled the top tier Veneno. With an incredible price tag of $4.7 million, this car is easily the world’s most expensive production car (and by “production” we mean a grand total of four Venenos ever to be produced).
The Veneno is constructed from carbon fiber throughout, making it extremely light weight. Thus the two-seater weighs only 3,190 pounds. The car carries super aggressive looks with aerodynamic body therefore giving it a fantastic combination of speed and design. Under the hood there is a naturally aspirated 6.5 liter V12 engine that powers the Veneno with an impressive 750 horsepower. The vehicle is able to achieve 0-60 in fractions of 2.8 seconds.
Unfortunately, even if you had the millions in hand to purchase one of the three production vehicles, you are too late. Lamborghini pre-sold all of its Venenos.

  •  220 mph
  •  V12
  •  750 hores power
  •  Built almost entirely from carbon fiber
  •  Sold out limited run of three vehicles

Top secret trick for capturing a 2 year old baby

Top secret trick for capturing a 2 year old baby

For anyone who hasn’t tried to capture a toddler at this age, let me tell you that all they want to do is RUN as far and as fast away from you as possible when given the opportunity. And if they’re a photographer’s kid? The LAST place they are going to look is right at the camera.

Find a stranger!

Knowing how tricky it is to get him/her to smile and look anywhere near your lens, You purposely took this little girl to your local botanic gardens yesterday because You knew that it had the two most important things You needed:

1. Good light & natural backgrounds.

2. Plenty of strangers walking the paths in and around the gardens.

Now scoped out the perfect spot, got your camera settings ready to go, and waited patiently for a kind looking grandma-aged lady to walk by. You should sweetly asked this good-natured stranger to stand behind you and say hi to Little Pea. Your little flirt gave this absolute stranger  him/her BIGGEST smile along with  him/her signature giggle.

In two seconds flat you could the perfect portrait of  baby. That kind he/she laughed when you told him/her you were done and that you had got what you needed.

How to Locate your lost Android device?

How to Locate your lost Android device?

Most of us, if not all, have had at least one occasion when we have “simply” forgotten our mobile phones – either in a taxi or at a restaurant, or even before we left our homes. God bless your memory if you don’t count yourself as one of those, but then you never know.

The new Device Manager by Android is a feature that keeps your device and the data in it safe and secure.
 Here’s how.
1. Locate your misplaced device
If your phone is within earshot yet you are unable to locate it (for all you know, it’s your friend’s prank!), all you can do now is ring it and you’ll be able to hear it at maximum volume – even if it has been silenced. Now *that* is technology.
What happens if your phone was forgotten at the party last night? Or you simply forgot in in a washroom somewhere? What you can do to locate your precious device is locate it in real time on a map! And then of course, rush to fetch it from wherever it is!

2. Protect your data
Here’s the worst case scenario. You lose your phone, and are now worrying about the data falling in the wrong hands. With the Android Device Manager, you can quickly and securely erase all the data on your device, and reduce your woes by a good fifty per cent.

3. Getting started

You can avail of the services of the Android Device Manager on devices running Android 2.2 or higher. You will be required to sign in with your Google account. There will be an app to help keep track of your phone, but that’s sometime in the near future. Watch this space!

For now, once of the best things you could do to keep your data safe, is take a back up of all your contacts, texts, images, music and photos using  excellent back up feature

Teenagers know More about social media

Teenagers know More about social media

Today i know which of my friend is going through what condition because i am spending my life with less of  them in real life and with most of them on social media, i know what they are going through, i know the path we are moving on, it is not hard to say that teenagers know more about social media as compare to elders. The reason is teenagers like entertainment in a different way also they are always more curious to know about how to get it, and if there is an online way to have that entertainment in a form of social media obviously they will take over it when it comes to the comparison with curiosity of elders.

The function or facility of updating your current status on social media platforms are making iteasy for me to understand what my friends are doing currently, and now it is becoming a trend i may not get a message at my cell about the condition of my friend but i can read it on social media whenever i will turn it on. It is good in some aspects that we can update all of our friends in one click and it is not good in a way that personal communication even in between friends and that attachment is becoming public day by day which can be a sign of betterment or retrogression, we would know it with the passage of time.

But this is a definite fact teenagers know more about social media as compare to non-teenagers.

Fascinating Facts You Might Not Know About Phone Numbers

Fascinating Facts You Might Not Know About Phone Numbers:

You may have heard some interesting and already common facts about mobile phones on occasion. But what about the phone numbers that give you that unique mobile identity and make using your phone possible. Here’s ten great facts that you may have never heard before:

1. Personalized Phone words: How to find one for you?
Just like the number spelling “F-I-R-E” is used to call fire brigades, chances are that your number might have a similar phone-word combination as well. In order to find out what it actually is, you can utilize the services of “PhoneSpell”. Along with just being interesting, they may be useful in making you remember a variety of different numbers.

2. Phone number magic Trick
This trick is fairly self-explanatorys so give it try and impress your peers. The trick goes as follows:
Take a seven-digit phone number, for example, 941-7990 and multiply the first three digits by 80. Then add one, multiply by 250 and add the last four digits of the original phone number. Finally add the last four digits again, subtract 250, and divide by two.
Maths can be so miraculous at times, huh?

3. Phone Numbers in Music
Like movies, numbers are also used in songs but they haven’t been set aside for this purpose especially. The most famous of all is that of Glenn Miller's Pennsylvania 6-5000, which is still in use by the hotel mentioned in the song. The Hotel Pennsylvania (whose number was used) still boasts to have the number of the longest continuous use.
It annoys all those who have the same number with a different area code as it appeared in song; 867-5309 is the catchy musical number belonging to Tommy Tutone. A very recent addition to this list is the number Alicia Keys claimed to be hers in her song Diary; after which, many of her fans attempted to give her a call.

4. Numbers and codes set aside for fictional purposes
Many of us would have tried to dial the numbers our favorite T.V or movie characters dial in various scenes, but to your surprise you would find that those numbers are specially generated for these fictional purposes.
“KL” exchange was the very first phone exchange used to generate such numbers for American movies. Currently, the prefix “555” is being used in U.S to set aside numbers for purely fictional purposes. In the U.K, the code “01632? is used the same way but it also provides non-working suggestions for some other cities.

5. Movies ignoring the 555 trend
Usually, when you see a phone number in a movie it will begin with “555? because no such number exists with that pattern. Although it is not recommended, some movie production companies have their own numbers that appear in their movies, like Universal Studio. If you were to call the number, it would just continually ring on the other end.
One such movie faced some trouble for using a real phone number, supposedly belonging to God, and they had to change the number in the DVD release in order to resolve this issue.

6. Emergency Numbers
Different countries have various emergency numbers, for example 911 is the standard emergency number used in U.S. It was first pronounced as “nine eleven”, however the confusion of many users who searched for the “11” key on the dialer, led to it being changed to “nine one one”. In U.K, the number is “nine nine nine”; whereas Europe, you would dial 112 in emergency. Before the system of a single number for emergency calls was introduced, people used to call the operators to direct them to the relevant emergency service. There are still some fire services in the U.S which can also be reached by dialing “3 4 7 3”, which spells “F-I-R-E”.

7. Apple related to 888-8888
It is said that Apple co-founder, Steve Wozniak, had a thing for repetitive digits. It was because of his fondness for such numbers that he sold the Apple I for $666.66. This fondness, as legend has it, also led him to buy the second most expensive number in the world. The only drawback to the fantastic phone number was the hundreds of prank calls it received every day. While most of them were not of a malicious nature, there some particularly spiteful ones that may taken a toll on any man.

8. The Most Expensive phone number
666-6666 holds the record for most expensive number after being sold in Qatar for $207 million to raise money for charity. This number blows away the previous record held by 888-8888 sold in China for $280,000.

9. The very first Area code
The very first area code to be established was in New Jersey in 1951, which was labeled 201. The area codes in use now are an advanced and evolved version of the “North American Numbering” plan, in which the areas were numbered according to the ratio of their population. The one having the largest was given the simplest dial code for a rotary phone and it started with codes for 90 areas. Urban areas like New York, Los Angeles and Chicago got the codes 212, 213, and 312, respectively, and whereas more rural areas were given codes like 915, 913, etc.

10. Invention of Phone numbers
Before their invention, phone calls were made by dialing the phone service first and requesting a phone operator sitting on the other end with various lines used to connect us to the person we wanted to contact. This was all fine and dandy until the process was questioned by Alexander Bell’s (the inventor of the phone himself) friend Dr. Moses. Because the town was infected with an epidemic of measles, the doctor advised initiating a new system without involving these operators for if any one of them fell ill, the others would find it difficult to understand the system and keep it running. Hence, the system of names was replaced by numbers dialed directly by the callers themselves.

Painless Laser Hair Reduction

PAINLESS Laser Hair Reduction

How does laser hair reduction work?
Lasers are amplifiers of light that has only one color (monochromatic). The near infra-red wavelengths of laser targets the pigment in the hair bulge, heating and destroying it.

What types of lasers are available for laser hair reduction?
1. Ruby Laser 694nm
2. Alexandrite Laser 755nm
3. Diode laser 810nm
4. Nd:YAG laser 1064nm

Long pulsed lasers of above-mentioned wavelengths are used for effective permanent hair reduction. Shorter wavlengths are better absorbed by the melanin pigment and hence give best results. Nd:YAG laser was developed as a safe modality of treatment for sun-tanned, dark skin.

In our opinion, it's better to condition the skin first before laser is applied. If you're going for treatment, get it right the first time around.

Are Q-switched lasers good for hair reduction?
NO. NEVER. These are bleaching lasers, at best. They disintegrate pigments with what's called the photo-acoustic effect. They are used for tattoo removal.
Q-switched Nd:YAG lasers are unfortunately being used in Pakistan for laser hair reduction by unscrupulous or poorly trained doctors. Q-switched lasers simply do not have the pulse width necessary to damage hair follicles within their thermal relaxation time. Permanent hair reduction will never result.

Are all types of hair treatable with laser?
Darker hair colors are more successfully treated than natural blond or red-hair, where lack of pigment makes the technique relatively ineffective.

How many treatments are required?
Only hairs in the growth phase can be treated, which is why several treatments are needed before results can be seen.? The average at our clinic is about 4-5 sessions for permanent hair reduction.

Why must I use a sun screen?
The shorter wavelength lasers cannot be used through a suntan, as the laser is likely to damage the tan resulting in darker or paler patches on the skin.Similarly, it is often difficult to laser darker skin types as the skin pigment will block the laser light reaching the hair bulge.

In our opinion, it's better to condition the skin first before laser is applied. If you're going for treatment, get it right the first time around.

What is the benefit of having this treatment?
Laser treatment has been proven to reduce by about half in hair growth after 6 months of regular treatments. However, the long term success is not
currently known. It is difficult to predict individual responses as many factors are involved: the thickness of hairs, different sites on the body, hormonal imbalances, darkness of hairs and how strong laser light can be tolerated. However, in general, the hair-free intervals gradually lengthen and the re-growth becomes sparser and finer.

Are there any risks involved?
It is normal for the skin on treated area to be red and bumpy due to the hair follicles being heated. This should settle in couple of days.
These side-effects are rare:
Hyper-pigmentation (darker spots) – temporary and usually resolves in 6 months.
Hypo-pigmentation (paler spots) – may be permanent.Risk of these is reduced by avoiding/protecting yourself from sun before and after treatment as instructed.
Scarring – Unlikely but may occur if the patients pick on their skin.
What are the alternatives for laser?
Shaving, waxing and depilatory (hair removal) creams. Systemic treatments to suppress hormone production for those with hormonal problem (such as poly-cystic ovary syndrome).
Eflornithine (Vaniqa) cream – slows hair growth but does not produce permanent reduction.
Preparation needed
Do not bleach, wax or pluck for a few weeks before treatment. No shaving for 2 days before. There needs to be hair present and visible for the treatment to work. Avoid the sun for 4-6 weeks before and after treatment, and during any treatment courses. No self-tan products for one week before treatment. If you are tanned, we will not treat you. You will be asked to remove make up thoroughly before treatment. Please bring a list of all medication you take with you on your first appointment.

What happens during treatment?
Local anesthetic cream can be used for children if they find the treatment painful. Adults should take an over-the counter pain killer (eg. paracetamol) half an hour before the appointment.

Everyone in the treatment room is required to wear protective goggles. You should not remove these until told to do so. The doctor will ensure the area to be treated is clean and shaved if necessary. They will calibrate the laser, and guide the device along the area. You feel a cold spray before and after each laser pulse. You may smell some burning hair along the process but do not be alarmed as this is normal. Aloe vera gel is applied at the end. Your next appointment date is given to you before you leave the clinic. If however you have no re-growth of hair by the time of your next appointment, we will re-schedule for a later date.

Aftercare
Avoid sun exposure to reduce the chance of dark pigmentation. Always use sunblock (SPF 30 or higher) throughout the course of your treatment. Failure to follow this advice may result in burning, blistering, scarring and permanent pigment changes.

Continue applying aloe vera gel or non-scented moisturizer to soothe any irritation. You may keep this in the fridge if you wish so that it is cold. You
should treat the area gently, as if you had sunburn, for the first 24 hours. You may resume use of your usual creams/lotions/make-up once the irritation stops.

Do not pluck, wax or use any other hair removal methods apart from shaving for 4-6 weeks after treatment. The hairs in the treated area will start to shed after 2 weeks, and if you wish you can gently exfoliate the area to remove them.

You should avoid picking or scratching the treated skin.
